International Travel Clinic

Beginning January of 2015, our office is now able to help our patients prepare for international travel.

What we provide:

  • Research for the specific destination with recommendations for vaccines, medications, health and safety alerts for area.

  • Helpful information on international travel and travel with children.

  • Information on motion sickness, altitude sickness, traveler’s diarrhea, etc.

  • Review of your child’s medical record, refill of any routine medications needed, documentation of health conditions which may be required for entering other countries.

  • A travel size first aid kit for your trip.

What to expect:

The visit should take about 30 minutes, depending on the destination(s) of your trip, number of children, and questions you may have.  We anticipate that we will be able to provide any of the international required vaccines or prescriptions for required medications such as malaria prophylaxis.

We will not be able to provide vaccines for the adults.

You will need to bring passports to your visit to facilitate documentation of vaccines.

Insurance plans do not reimburse for international travel visits, so the consultation fee will be required at the time of the visit.  We will bill the insurance for any vaccines administered.  If there are vaccines which your plan does not cover, you will be responsible for the fees for these vaccines.

The visit will cost $125 (1st child), and $75 for each additional child going on the same trip.

Use the link below (International Travel Questionnaire) and you will be contacted to schedule your appointment.  We do require that your child be current on their annual physical exam (within the past 12 months).  We suggest scheduling this visit about 6-8 weeks in advance of your trip.

If you have difficulty with this link, you may print out the International Travel Questionnaire, complete it, and call the office to schedule the appointment.

We look forward to being able to serve you in this way!
