Providing care for children from
birth to young adulthood
Upon discharge from the hospital, the pediatrician will guide you about when to schedule follow up care in our office. We typically like to see newborns within a day or two of discharge from the hospital.
Regular check-ups are encouraged at 2-months, 4-months, 6-months, 9-months, 12-months, 15-months, 18-months and 24-months of age. At each check-up appointment, we review overall health, medications, diet/activity, sleep, safety, parenting concerns and give age appropriate advice as well as perform a complete physical exam.
As at part of our well child visits we utilize AAP recommended development screening tools approppiate for infants and toddlers. Immunizations are usually given at each of these visits. We feel that immunizations are very important and we follow the AAP guidelines for administrations. Vaccines will be discussed at each visit.
Please try to schedule your next appointment with your provider before you leave the office at your scheduled visits.
Children and Adolescents/Young Adults:
We encourage a yearly check-up/physical for every child. At these visits, we review overall health, medications, diet/activity, sleep, developmental milestones and perform a complete physical exam. We routinely check vision and hearing, and for older children, perform mental health screening and pre-participation sports assessments per AAP guidelines. Immunizations are also administered at these visits according to AAP guidelines.
We are happy to see teens by themselves for their visit if they are 16 years or older. Because we require updated insurance information and permission to bill the insurance carrier for the visit, we require you to complete the parent permission form below prior to unaccompanied visits. This form also gives us authorization to administer any immunizations your teen may need. Please make sure to send your teen in with an updated copy of insurance cards.

Our office schedules appointments for well visits 3-months in advance. Well child visits may be scheduled with physicians or nurse practitioners. Some of the physicians schedules fill very quickly. Therefore, if you prefer to see a particular provider, please call us as early as you can on the day the appointment schedule opens.
